Bandar Seri Begawan – The Ministry of Health is alerting members of the public following the detection of counterfeit coloured contact lenses based on the information they have received from the Singapore Health Sciences Authority (HSA).
The counterfeits were fraudulently labelled as “FreshLook® ColorBlendse” Contact Lenses from CIBA VISION and found to be unsafe and of poor quality.
Laboratory analysis of these counterfeit lenses by HSA and CIBA VISION have confirmed them to be unsafe and deficient in many aspects.
