PETALING JAYA: Green, pink, and blue are the colours to look out for the next time you intend to buy contact lenses.
Optometrists and opticians who are licensed to prescribe contact lens are awarded the green and pink certificates from the Malaysian Optical Council (MOC), respectively, said Association of Malaysian Optometrists president Tan Thok Chuan.
These certificates are usually displayed on the wall of the shops.
“Other opticians hold the blue certificate, which gives them authority to prescribe spectacles but not contact lenses,” Tan said yesterday.
